How did you meet?
Brandon and I met in graduate school st Southeastern Louisiana University. We were both teaching assistants and worked together. At first we were just friends but once Brandon got the courage to ask me out, we knew we had something special.
What is your favorite thing about each other?
My favorite thing about Brandon is his sense of humor. Brandon's favorite thing about me is my ambition. How did the proposal go? Give us all the sweet details!
Brandon proposed in August of 2017 on a random Saturday after I got home from work. I had no idea it was coming. He had my brother there to film the whole thing and he even made sure our pug Frank was involved! At first I couldn't even process what was happening. It was the perfect intimate moment and a total surprise.Where was your ceremony held and why did you pick this site?
What unique or special things did you do at the reception?
Brandon and I have a baby girl named Eleanor, and it was very important to us to include her in the wedding and at the reception. So we did our first dance with her.
Pick one moment in the day that was your favorite thing?
Our favorite moment was our first look. It was such a sweet moment and it really allowed us to have some time together before the wedding.
Did it really go by as quickly as everyone says?
Our wedding flew by! But we made sure to enjoy every single moment.
Who was your baker, what was the flavor of your cake? Was it delicious?!
Mad Batter did our cake and it was vanilla and red velvet. It was amazing especially since we both love sweets.
Did you do a first look? If so how did you feel about it? If not, do you wish you had?
Did you have a coordinator or did you plan everything yourself? If you didn’t have a coordinator any advice for brides planning their own wedding?
Kate David helped coordinate our wedding, along with my mom. We definitely could not have done it without them! Natasha at Stella Plantation was also amazing!
What was your first dance song? Why this song?
We did our first dance to I Don't Want to Miss a Thing by Aerosmith. We picked it because it was different from some of the more common songs and we both love it.
Band or DJ? Did they rock it?
We want to hear YOUR advice for future brides.
