How did you meet?
Joe and I met when he moved into the rent house next door to my house after coming back from pre deployment training for the Marine Corps.
What is your favorite thing about each other?
Caitlin: My two favorite things about Joe is how he can always put a smile on my face and always has me laughing. The second is how he is always so encouraging and supportive of me in everything I do.
Joe: My favorite thing about Caitlin is that even during the darkest time in my life, she always stuck by my side and pushed me to get better. Having that kind of support truly means the world to me.
How did the proposal go? Give us all the sweet details!
We were taking our first trip to Disney World in February 2017. This was Joe's first trip but he always knew that it was my dream to get proposed to at Disney! The night we got there we were going eat at Chef Mickey's with all of the main characters. He proposed while we were at dinner with a view of Cinderella castle.
Where was your ceremony held and why did you pick this site?
Our ceremony was held at Southern Oaks Plantation. When I started videoing weddings with Your Day Production I filmed a ceremony and reception there and just seeing how Bobby ran everything so much like Disney I just knew that's where I had to get married.
What unique or special things did you do at the reception?
Something special we did for our wedding was pick all Disney songs to tie in our engagement with our ceremony.
Pick one moment in the day that was your favorite thing?
Caitlin: My favorite moment of the day was seeing Joe at the end of the aisle and the reaction he had.
Joe: When I saw Caitlin for the first time getting out of the carriage and walking towards me.
Did it really go by as quickly as everyone says?
Yes! I felt like everything was over in a flash.
Who was your baker, what was the flavor of your cake? Was it delicious?!
The Mad Batter Bakery did our cake. It was extremely delicious. Our bottom layer was almond cake with almond icing and the filling was strawberry puree and icing. The second layer was red velvet cake with buttercream icing and cream cheese filling. Our top layer, which we saved, was almond cake and icing with almond icing filling.
Did you do a first look? If so how did you feel about it? If not, do you wish you had?
We did not do a first look and I do not regret not doing it. Joe's reaction to seeing me for the first time was a moment I will never forget.
Did you have a coordinator or did you plan everything yourself? If you didn’t have a coordinator any advice for brides planning their own wedding?
We did not have a coordinator to plan the actual wedding since I had worked videoing weddings for so many years prior to getting engaged and married. We did however have a day of coordinator that was provided by Southern Oaks.
What was your first dance song? Why this song?
Our first dance was Close Your Eyes by Michael Buble. We picked this song because we felt it true for our relationship. The meaning behind the song just hit home for both of us.
Band or DJ? Did they rock it?
We used Southern Oaks' DJ. They did a good job getting my friends to dance! We want to hear YOUR advice for future brides.
Anything else you want to say?--
Trent and Titus did an AMAZING job with my husband and I's wedding. I can't stop looking at the pictures reliving the moments of our special day. Trent did an amazing job capturing our engagement photos and well as my prebridals. When I got engaged, there was no doubt who I was going to trust with this task. We spent very little time taking pictures and he did not miss anything that happened throughout the day.
